Caitlin Clark Set to Make History as Top Pick in 2024 WNBA Draft

Former Iowa Hawkeyes Star Continues to Dominate

Clark All but Certain to be First Overall Selection

Caitlin Clark, the former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar and two-time national player of the year, is poised to make history as the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. According to a recent mock draft by Sporting News, Clark is projected to be the top pick by the Indiana Fever.

Clark's dominance in college has been remarkable. Over her three seasons with the Hawkeyes, she averaged 26.6 points, 8.5 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game. She set numerous NCAA records, including becoming the first player in history to record multiple triple-doubles in a single game three times.

Clark's impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by WNBA scouts. She is widely regarded as the most talented player available in this year's draft, and her selection as the first overall pick is almost a foregone conclusion. If chosen first, Clark will join a long line of former Iowa Hawkeyes to be selected among the top picks in the WNBA Draft.

The 2024 WNBA Draft will be held on Monday, April 10th, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Clark's selection as the first overall pick would mark a significant milestone for both her and the WNBA.
