Embiid leads 76ers to win over Knicks, cut deficit to 2-1
Maxey scores 46 points, including seven three-pointers
Game 3 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs saw the Philadelphia 76ers defeat the New York Knicks 114-97 at home.
The Knicks took an early five-point lead in overtime, but the 76ers roared back with a 9-0 run and never looked back. Maxey scored a game-high 46 points, including seven three-pointers, while Joel Embiid added 50 points and 12 rebounds for the 76ers.
Embiid vowed after the game that the 76ers were going to win the series. "We're not going to let them beat us," Embiid said. "We're going to fight until the end."
The 76ers will visit the Knicks for Game 4 of the series on Tuesday night.
