Batman Sets Sail on Tirrenia Ferry
In a surprising turn of events, Batman has apparently decided to trade in the Batmobile for a ferry. Well, not really. But the iconic superhero is now gracing the hull of the MV Marisa Russotti, the first of Tirrenia's ferries to undergo a DC Comics makeover. The new look, which features Batman's brooding visage, is sure to turn heads as the ship sails the Mediterranean.
A Comic Book History
While Batman's presence on a ferry may seem unusual, it's not the first time the Caped Crusader has crossed paths with the maritime world. In fact, Batman and Superman's first official team-up took place on a ship in 1952, in a story by Edmond Hamilton and Curt Swan. Since then, the two superheroes have become iconic symbols of friendship and have teamed up countless times in comics, movies, and television shows.
So, while Batman may not be taking on any supervillains during his ferry adventures, he'll certainly be reminding passengers of the enduring power of friendship and the joy of superheroes.
