Mississippi-Based Company Offended by Mockery of Last Supper

C Spire, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States, has pulled all advertisements from the 2024 Paris Olympics after being shocked by a performance during the opening ceremony that mocked the Last Supper. The performance, which featured a bedazzled woman with a large silver disco ball head, drew criticism from the Catholic Church and other religious groups.

"We were shocked and offended by the performance," said C Spire CEO Hu Meena in a statement. "The Last Supper is a sacred event for Christians, and to mock it in this way is deeply disrespectful."

C Spire is not the only company to pull advertising from the Olympics. AT&T and Verizon have also announced that they will be suspending their advertising campaigns. The move by these major companies is a significant blow to the Olympics, which rely heavily on corporate sponsorship.
